Bangladesh once again win the 2nd T20 cricket match against Zimbabwe depending on all-round Sabbir Rahman hit who score 43 runs and with 3 wickets to lead Bangaldesh to a 42-run victory in Khulna stadium on Sunday.
Sabbir scored using only 30-ball 43 to take Bangladesh and total 163 for 7 before bagging 3 wickets to help the hosts to a 2-0 lead in the four-match Walton T20 series. He keeps his balance in the second T20 match like 1st match.
The opner Tamim Iqbal and Soumya made 45 runs in the opening partnership, from begnning two batsman play very carefully till the total runs at 45. After the openers departed, Sabbir shared two prolific partnerships with Musfiqur Rahim 24 and Shakib Al Hasan who take 27 off 17 balls in that innies. Sabbir the al rounder was not out at the end till won the match.
In answer, Zimbabwe openers Vusi Sibanda and stand-in captain Hamilton Masakadza made 50 in the first wicket, however Bangladesh bowlers soon reinforced their hold on the match. Mashrafe was the first to strike, getting Sibanda (21) knocked down some pins, while Sabbir and speedster Mustafiz consolidated to ensure the meeting batsmen did not have an awesome diversion.Masakadza was the top scorer with a 28-ball 30, followed by Malcom Waller’s 29 from 21, but those innings were never going to trouble the hosts.
Mustafiz got two wickets while Al-Amin Hossain and Shuvagata Hom took one each as Zimbabwe managed a platry 125 losing 8 wicktes. Masakadza and Sibanda who was dropped twice on 24 off Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, hammered 13 runs in Shakib’s first over that included a six and a four.
Malcolm Waller (29) continued pushing yet died to Al-Amin Hossain for six. Mustafizur Rahman then struck twice in an over before Zimbabwe limped to 125 for 8. The win implies the Tigers now lead the four-diversion arrangement 2-0. The following match is will be played at the same venue on Wednesday.
