The Google`s CEO Sundar Pichai runs worldwide for internet giant, yet one of the inquiry that confused Sundar Pichai on his first India visit as Google CEO was whether the prominent versatile working framework Android can be named after an Indian dessert! A grinning Pichai answered he will approach his mom for recommendations and Google can even go for an online survey to choose the name.

Sundar Pichai was communicating with understudies at the prestigious Shri Ram College of Commerce on the second day of his India visit. A percentage of the proposals that came at the occasion itself included ‘peda’, “neyyappam” and ‘nankhatai’.

Past forms of Android operating system have been named after desserts like Donut, Eclair, Gingerbread, Ice Cream Sandwich, Jelly Bean, Kitkat and Lollipop. The most recent variant is called Android Marshmallow and is being taken off crosswise over cell phones.

Inquired as to why Google did not have any Indian dessert as Android variant name, Pichai said, “When I meet my Mom, I will request recommendations” and included that Google could gather information to choose the name for Android N.

Pichai’s session at Shriram College of Commerce was directed by cricket observer, Harsha Bhogle, who called the India-conceived official the ‘Rahul Dravid of the tech business’.
